Dr. Brown earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health and Human Services, followed by a Master of Science in Business: Training and Development, a Master of Education in Postsecondary and Adult Education, a Post-Master’s Certificate in Teaching, and a Doctor of Health Sciences. 

With over 23 years of professional experience in community health, healthcare, postsecondary education, and K-12 instruction, Dr. Brown has taught Health and Wellness, Allied Health Science, Anatomy and Physiology, Middle School Medical Detectives, and High School Biology. She has developed after-school and teen programs, guided apprentices and interns, and instructed youth, teens, and adults in both academic and faith-based settings.

Her journey into homeschooling became personal when she facilitated the homeschool education of her now 22-year-old son who was diagnosed as  high-functioning on the Asperger Autism Spectrum. Through years of hands-on experience, research-based curriculum development, and a deep understanding of how students learn, she recognized a growing need for structured, high-quality homeschool enrichment services.

Bringing education leadership experience, healthcare education background, administrative and operational expertise, curriculum design experience and project management capability.

That vision led to the development of our Homeschool Hub Program, a program rooted in research, experience, mentorship, and a passion for helping students thrive academically and personally.

The VTDS Update Pre-Health Scholars Program and Homeschool Support provide structured high school credit-bearing coursework for students in grades 9-12.  Courses are delivered in full-cohort formats or may be offered by individual throughout the semester. 

 Our Medical Detectives Summer Camp will have a fun and exciting adventure each week.  Operating on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a Friday Fun Camp Day! 

Including Lab Dissections, STEM Projects,  and End of Summer Camp Celebration!!
